St Kilda Football Club Community Volunteering Day at Sages Cottage Farm – Tuesday 27 November 2018 – TEAM EDNA

TEAM EDNA
Team Leaders:  Mick Ryan and David Armitage

On 27 November, all Saints staff and players are getting involved to help Wallara with its goal of building Australia’s most inclusive farm.

At the heart of Sages Cottage Farm is a beautiful lake which boasts its very own island surrounded by 370 metres of accessible pathway.  It is on this pathway that five structures – Sensory Stations – will be built.  Each station will provide multi-sensory environments but pay homage to one of the five senses:  taste, sight, sound, touch, smell.

As a club, our mission is to raise $8,000 to purchase the materials we’ll use to build two of these structures that, when completed, will provide visitors with a sensory experience like no other.

A little bit of competition is healthy, so we have been split into two teams:  Team Ursula and Team Edna (named after the two much loved pigs at Sages).  Teams will compete against each other with a fundraising target of $4,000 each and on the day in a race to see who can build their station the quickest.

Each team will be lead by a member of the staff and someone from the playing group.  Team Ursula will be led by Andy  Farrow and Jarryn Geary and Mick Ryan and David Armitage will take the reins for Team Edna.

This is a new initiative that gives us all an opportunity to give back and we hope you can get behind us with a donation – big or small, every donation counts!

Thanks and go Saints!

  1. Thanks Ben. Unfortunately you have donated to the opposition (Team Edna), that’s why I hadn’t seen it. All going to the same (great) cause. Thanks again. Andy 🙂
